Estranged Sex XXIV- realeased!
Inspiration is an intricate process that works itself out throughout time and experience and explodes suddenly to invent something that you reallistically had been thinking of already for a while.
This all began when earlier this year I read a publication in a national newspaper about pole dancing. Facebook pole dancers were all exited about how pole dancing was receiving a lot of attention (good for business and for the sport´s growth) and that it was even being talked at the national newspapers. Now what I was strucked by was the article´s title: "Pole Dance´s Grandmother something something".This grandmother in question was 49 years old. It felt very sad to have such a short pole life expectation ahead...
Estranged Sex XXIV talks about how age and time passes for everybody and even when we might still feel young and capable, sexually attractive and in shape, society is fast in ensuring its clear to everyone what is age appropriate and what inst. This does not apply just to people above 60, but actually 30 is the new 60 for our teens. And this does not apply to women only, men who normally get a little more age allowance, are in the same trap anyway.
It also wants to address how life is never a fairy tale. One can dream of the perfect hen night and life will deliver.
As often in Estranged Sex the images are based upon personal or real life events: I had no hen night when I married my husband for that I was 7 months pregnant at the time. By the time I decided to take this picture, I was yet again 6months pregnant and decided to stage my own estranged sex hen night rehearsing one of my best's friends hen night and other hen night stories.
So it talks about time, youth, expectations and resignation. And how even then, we can find beauty in all of this.
Now its time to thank all of those that made this image finally possible, from the conversations with the friend that had the very awkward hen night to all those have heard me go on and on about this shooting, its meaning and the very difficult endeavor to find the ideal stripper gentleman.
So here goes my most sincere gratitute to everyone. THANK YOU
