2008 - Ongoing

Estranged sex is an ongoing audiovisual project that includes images, video and text.

“Estranged” refers to someone or something who was formerly close and no longer is. With a broad and holistic understanding of sexuality and sex and after years of honest and stark introspection and reflection upon existence and society begins “Estranged Sex”: a work about a sexuality that is both strange and estranged, natural and alienated.

2009

“The downfall of the dream” started with the story of a human dream and how life fails to deliver. As if they tried to enjoy a flavour they once tasted, the characters in this play continue wishing for, continue dreaming of.

2008 - Ongoing

Although this is part of my professional work, it is altogether deeply imbedded in my personal work. I presented this Sin City's Homage to the Spanish Magazine "Interviú" starring an elite pole dancer and bikini fitness champion, Shara Lecter.

The work is personal, I created a simple story, the vignettes and storyboard, determined the lighting, built the different scenarios and obviously did the later photoedition and lay out for the magazine and cover.

2012-2013

"Hope's Crevice" is an unfinished work and a natural successor to "The Downfall Of The Dream". It emerged with the apposition of my grandmother's fast decay that lead to her death and my baby boy first months.

This is mostly my work for the Spanish Magazine Interviú. I must thank everyone who made this stories possible, from make up artists to stylists, hotels and venues that allowed us to shoot in the locations, actors and models. I have also to thank the magazine for allowing me to develop my creativity within a working relationship.

In the works shown in this gallery I have created and directed the whole process, from the initial idea, to the development and later edition.

Experimental photography isn’t one project but various many simultaneous projects that I work on whilst working on other series. Until the images create a body on their own, if they ever do so, they are here sampled together as experiments and individual creations.

Heavily distorted through Photoshop, these deranged "illuminati" represent an approach to the notions of mystic experiences, hallucinations, faith, wisdom, leadership, charisma, truth and messages.

Visionarios / Visionaries explores the happening of a vision, those who have it and those who follow.

A very visceral project based on the impulsive use of self awareness and self analysis to representation of my emotional states whilst using memories, fantasies, and external images to recreate the scenario and the character that could incarnate them.

Through performative action and self portraiture I found the means to give way cathartically and creatively to my own internal processes.

“Sleepy People” emerged from the sense of passing through life as an observer, letting the days slipper through our fingers, as a perpetual sleep walker, missing out whilst dreaming of dreaming, dreaming of being alive.

Reveries of the sleep walker, the insomniac and the dreamer...

“The ideal Man” is a naïf proyect that worked through love disappointments through the parody of gender constraints and expectations.
